Intel refers to Windows 11 as "October 2021 Update – version 21H2" in the release notes of the DCH GPU driver version. The 'YYMM' format is used to identify Windows builds, with the 'YY' signifying the year of the update and the 'MM' denoting the month, or in this case half, of release. This does undoubtedly pertain to the forthcoming Windows update since a Microsoft program manager verified that future builds will continue to use the 'YYMM' format. Microsoft's next operating system update is currently available to Windows Insiders as an early preview. The final release will change significantly from this, with improvements based on feedback from the early build.
As a result, the next Windows upgrade, Windows 11, will be ready in October 2021.
Microsoft has yet to release the Windows 11 beta build, but it is scheduled to appear later this month. The final release schedule would then be set in action.
