Washington, D.C. Are you using an old Android device? Google will no longer allow users to login in on old Android devices after this date. Then you should probably get a new one because Google will no longer allow users to login in on Android devices running Android 2.3.7 or lower.

According to The Verge, this adjustment will take effect on September 27. "As part of our continuous efforts to keep our customers safe, beginning September 27, 2021, Google will no longer enable sign-in on Android devices running Android 2.3.7 or lower," the company added.

"If you sign in to your device after September 27, you may see username or password issues while attempting to access Google products and services such as Gmail, YouTube, and Maps," the tech behemoth noted.

To give you a sense of how old a device may be affected by this move, consider that Android 2.3.7 was published nearly ten years ago. However, given that there are currently over three billion active Android smartphones in the world, this shift will most likely affect more than a few people who are still using an older technology.

According to Google, if you are using Android 2.3.7 or older after the September 27 deadline, you will still be able to utilize some Google services if you are logged in on your device's browser.

However, smartphones running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) will continue to be able to log in to Google accounts, according to the company, so if your older device can be upgraded, you should do so.
